Chinese Chicken Salad

3 chicken breasts
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp butter
1 head lettuce, shredded
4 green onions, chopped
2 tbsp chopped almonds
2 tbsp sesame seed
1 - 7 oz can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/4 c vegetable oil
3 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 oz rice chow mein noodles

Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Rinse and pat dry. Brown with salt and butter in skillet. Combine with lettuce, green onions, almonds, sesame seed and water chestnuts in salad bowl. Combine next 5 ingredients in jar; shake to mix well. Add to salad with noodles; toss gently. Serves 6.
