Easy Creamed Salmon on Toast
1 - 15 oz can salmon
water or milk
1/4 c butter
1/4 c flour
1 - 15 can peas, drained
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
celery seed to taste
toast or English muffins
Drain salmon, reserving liquid. Chop salmon into chunks. Add enough water or milk to salmon liquid to measure 1 cup. Melt butter in skillet over low heat. Stir in flour. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly;' do not scorch. Remove from heat. Stir in salmon liquid. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add salmon and peas. Cook until heated through. Season with salt, pepper and celery seed. Serve over toast or English muffins. Serves 8.
