Rice and Noodle Casserole
8 oz uncooked medium noodles
1 c butter
2 c uncooked instant rice
2 cans onion soup
1 c water
2 cans beef or chicken broth
1 tsp soy sauce
1 - 7 oz can sliced water chestnuts, drained
Saute noodles in butter in 3 qt saucepan until golden brown. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon into 3 qt glass dish. Microwave on High for 20 minutes or until tender, stirring after 10 minutes. May also bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes if preferred. Serves 12.
